What our clients say about us

What do organisations think of the Planet Footprint Environmental Scorekeeping Service?

"Blue Mountains City Council has subscribed to Planet Footprint since 2005. The data collected by Planet Footprint and provided to the Council online is our primary source of environmental data on which we base our energy, greenhouse gas and water reduction target setting and reporting. We have successfully used our Planet Footprint reports to independently verify outcomes resulting from external contracts, such as Energy Performance Contracts. We regularly use Planet Footprint to assist in communicating our progress in achieving our environmental targets to our Councilors, staff and to our community. Planet Footprint helps make my job easier so I can focus on getting outcomes, rather than spending my time collecting data."

"The City of West Torrens have been clients of Planet Footrpint for about 4 years now and we have always received exceptional customer service from your team of data experts, particularly as our initial data sets were missing quite a bit of information.  Although up to this time we have not fully utilised your services, we have always known that we would need the data in the future, so to have it collected by Planet Footprint and available when we need it without us having to worry about data entry, managing spreadsheets, training new staff etc has been an added advantage to our team.

Why would we spend quality time on the nuts and bolts, when we have your team able to supply us with all that we need in order for us to do the most important job: assess the data and implement actions to save water, electricity and carbon emissions?

Without your services we would be repeating the data collection effort continuously and wasting effort liaising with the big utility companies for the 350 accounts we hold rather than getting on with our jobs to make environmental improvements.

I would recommend Planet Footprint’s services to other local governments and look forward to working with you and your team in the future."

"The Shire of Campaspe is committed to a long term cleaner environment by reducing its carbon footprint. Council is able to monitor each of its buildings and facilities through the data provided by the dedicated environmental scorekeeper, Planet Footprint.

Planet Footprint gives us information that is ongoing, independent and comparative. As a result our ‘green’ performance can be clearly understood, and we are able to quickly identify where we can make savings.

Already the subscription-based service has delivered results. Planet Footprint’s reports quickly identified the Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre as a facility that should be perfoming better. Energy reduction actions has resulted in a 12% reduction overall in energy consumption. Planet Footprint’s data and reports were critical to identifying those savings.

With Planet Footprint providing its service to more than 160 local governments Campaspe is able to benchmark either individual properties or its entire local government operations."

“My staff don’t have to enter utility information anymore.  That alone makes Planet Footprint’s service worthwhile.  The other features are a bonus.”

"Planet Footprint manages the collection, processing and warehousing of our utility billing data, school details and payment data for our 1,600 K-12 schools.  We have on-demand access to a range of consistent reports and data-sets to meet our everyday energy contract, facility management and environmental reporting needs.    Best of all we get expert guidance and analysis to support of our many energy efficiency initiatives.

For an agreed annual fee, we get the right combination of data management, standard reporting and custom expertise, without the expense of consultants or the hassle of developing, operating and maintaining software.    The service fits our energy and environmental information needs from department level down to individual schools and utility accounts.  Now in our second year of subscription, we're really increasing budget accountability and environmental awareness by issuing reports to individual schools.

The Department still has full ownership of its billing information, its energy management and its environmental performance.  We just don't have the hassle of managing all the underlying data.  All of our raw data is stored by Planet Footprint with no loss of detail.   As a rule, raw data is kept out of our hair and we're thankful for that.  On occasions when we've needed it, the actual billing data for individual or multiple schools has been produced quickly, cheerfully and in a format to suit the task at hand".
