Planet Footprint is the world's only full-service, independent environmental scorekeeper, and specialises in the cost-effective monitoring, benchmarking and reporting of energy and greenhouse performance of multi-site organisations - especially government departments and agencies. Planet Footprint already delivers its scorekeeping service to government departments in New South Wales and Victoria (Department of Housing - NSW; Department of Education - Victoria) and monitors the energy and greenhouse performance of thousands of properties for over 150 local governments Australia-wide.
Planet Footprint and EEGO - Scorekeeping for Commonwealth Government Departments and Agencies/icon-government-hover)
Planet Footprint has adapted its Scorekeeping Service to align with reporting requirements of the Energy Efficiency in Government Operations (EEGO) policy. Through its innovative data collection and reporting processes (including provision for collection of energy data direct from utilities), Planet Footprint is able to deliver Commonwealth Departments and Agencies data, reports and support that will exceed EEGO reporting requirements, for no more than $300 per site per year.
In particular, Planet Footprint's Scorekeeping Service for Commonwealth Departments and Agencies delivers:
- managed data collection of all data, including electricity, gas and fleet fuel.
- continuous monitoring of energy and greenhouse performance, from the whole of organisation level right down to individual sites and accounts
- a range of energy reports designed for easy interpretation by staff, management and other stakeholders.
- full greenhouse reporting based on nationally accepted state-based greenhouse coefficients
- entry of performance data into OSCAR, in accordance with EEGO requirements.
- categorisation of components in line with EEGO end use categories
- national comparisons and benchmarking, based on end-use categories set down by EEGO
- the ability to quickly identify poorly performing properties, sites and sectors
- presentation of results tracked over time, and measured against targets
- full anomaly reporting
- independence
- access to a community of similar organisations and personnel for sharing of information
- a release of staff from the time consuming exercise of data management and reporting, to focus on improvement projects.
